Ndii, Magaya working with Jubilee to scuttle NRM? Miguna says so

Trouble is brewing in NASA as self-styled NRM activist lawyer Miguna Miguna accuses opposition’s strategist David Ndii and NASA CEO Norman Magaya of working with jubilee secretly.

The lawyer who was deported a fortnight ago to Canada over his involvement in the unofficial swearing-in of Raila Odinga said both Magaya and Ndii are being used by Jubilee to scuttle NRM operations.

Miguna is reportedly said to have written a note to the two stating he has credible information that they have plans in the works to cripple the working of NRM, reports the Star.

He also claimed that Raila Odinga-the NASA chief had informed him that Ndii was opposed to his swearing-in on January 30.

In a rejoinder, Ndii refuted Miguna’s claim stating they agreed on how the inauguration would be done and the question of whether it was right or wrong was not there at the time.

“It is true the coalition disagreed on the much publicised swearing in of Raila Odinga as the people’s president. We disagreed on how and not whether,” responded Ndii.

“I opposed other schemes like swearing in outside the country or in a secret ceremony like the Besigye [Kizza] style.”

Miguna went on to claim that by Magaya and Ndii working behind his back, they were blatantly in support of flagrant abuse of his rights.

“NRMKe is a movement and not an NGO or political party and it doesn’t have written constitution for very good reasons,” said Miguna as further quoted by the Star.

Miguna spoke following a conference call that Ndii and Magaya allegedly held with the Kenyan Diaspora – a web based TV.

Categorically, he accused Ndii of keeping him in the dark when it came to formation of the People’s Assembly.

“You have never invited me to any of your events. You have never informed me about any of your events. And I have never interfered with that process. Let’s respect our respective jurisdictional mandates.

He added that he takes offence in the duo associating themselves with NRM yet they have not been on course with it.

“I take issue with the fact that you purported to speak on behalf of the NRMKe, a movement you have not been part of,” said he.

Miguna further lashed out at the duo for not showing any concern when he was arrested, detained and deported.

“You both know my local and Canadian numbers including my WhatsApp number. In fact, neither of you have called or texted me to show solidarity since I was released and forcefully removed from Kenya.

He added: “I’ve keenly watched videos and read media reports of the campaign for my release and I have noted, with interest, your singular silence about me. Neither of you have mentioned my name during the numerous press conferences you have called and statements you have read.”
