Nadia Abdalla is the youngest government official sitting in a high office as the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of ICT, State Department of Innovation, and Youth Affairs.

For her, it is just but one of her dreams come true but she admits she is yet to get there all together.

At the tender age of 13, Nadia eyed the United Nations Secretary-General seat and this is what has propelled her to a leader who President Uhuru Kenyatta recognized.

Now 30, she has no regrets and is forging ahead to become a pillar for youth empowerment and an inspiration to the young generation.

“I have really challenged the status quo. As a young woman, I have proved that I can bring people together and provide leadership as well,” she told Daily Nation in a past interview.

Nadia is a Public Relations and Mass Communication graduate from Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, Malaysia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Arts International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy from Hochschule Furtwangen University, Germany.

Born in Mvita, Mombasa County, she credits her advocacy for youth matters and gender-based violence to catch the President’s eye.

Nadia started with a Public Relations firm that she had to close down due to sluggish takeoff and turned to mental health advocacy and business under the brand name “BeOnVibe”.

It is while marketing her merchandise on social media that she started a segment where she advocated against SGBV which is what grounded her Presidential merit for the CAS job.

“I could also give free public lessons to Swahili girls on speaking against SGBV. And that’s how I captured the attention of the President,” she added.

She was appointed in January 2020 and has tremendously done well for herself in the new post.

She is proud of #KenyaNiMimi campaign which was flagged off in December by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On April 8th, she dismissed ill talk that she is a ‘slay queen’.

“Many claim I am a Slay Queen and not Well-Versed! Then I walk into a boardroom, speak and they realize I am an Empowered Kenyan Muslim Woman Professional! Moral of the story, Stop Critisizing Kenyan Women Professionals #GenerationEquality Don’t Be Bitter Do Better Red heart,” she tweeted.
