No death reported in last 24 hours, 114 new cases recorded

The number of coronavirus cases continues to decrease with only 114 cases being recorded on Tuesday.

The total number of confirmed cases is now 34,315.

Dr Rashid Aman, the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ministry of Health during his daily briefing at Afya House said 1,682 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Out of the 114 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, all are Kenyans except 1. The youngest was a one-year-old infant while the oldest was 85 years.

Of these, 93 were male and 21 were female.

He also announced that some 318 patients were discharged after making full recovery. 263 were under home-based care while the rest were in various hospitals across the country.

This brings the total recoveries to 20,211.

On a bright note, there were no deaths that were reported in the last 24 hours. The death toll stands at 577.
