Keziah Aoko Obama, mother to former US President Barrack Obama’s half-brother Malik Obama is dead.
Aoko died at a UK hospital while receiving treatment, her family says.
Her family says that she had been ailing for a while and took her last breath at the age of 81.
Nelson Ochieng who was the late Mama Sarah Obama’s personal assistant described Aoko as an inspiring.
“She inspired many people in Kogello Village. She always told us one can achieve anything that he dreams about. The Late Aoko was a hard-working woman, who believed success isn’t hard to come by,” Ochieng told the Standard.
Aoko’s demise comes three weeks after Mama Sarah Obama’s death.
Mama Sarah died while receiving treatment at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Referral Hospital in Kisumu.
She was 99 years old.
