An ODM politician from Kisumu County has gone missing since his reported trip to China to procure campaign materials.
Clifford Mwallo, an aspirant for Kajulu ward has not been seen since June 5, says his wife Elizabeth Odhiambo.
She says she last spoke to her husband on June 5 at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when he took a flight to China to collect campaign materials.
But, she cannot get hold of him.
“I have tried all means…email, WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media… but I have not been able to reach him,” she told the Star.
She reported the matter to Kisumu Central Police Station.
She said through the help of immigration officers who spoke to the police, Mwallo is reported to have gotten to Dubai but they cannot confirm if he landed in China.
This, according to the wife, was the second time Mwallo travelled to China and she expected him to return after one week.
She says she is worried since her husband’s opponents filed a case to challenge his nomination after he disappeared.
Odhiambo wants relevant authorities to intervene and ODM Party as well.
