Timothy Njuguna’s comedy star shone bright years into his practice on-screen to a point he changed his stage name to “Blessed Njugush” all thanks to Lupita Nyong’o.

In a recent interview with CTA, Njuguhs recalled an incident that almost drained his acting career but Lupita saved it in a single tweet months later.

One time as a star actor for the Real Househelps of Kawangware, a celebrity entertainer tweeted trashing comments about the show.

He said that he felt demoralized but continued with his trade until one day when Lupita lauded him and considered himself blessed.

“When we started, people would say haiwezi. When we started, people asked show ya mamboch nani anaona. I remember nah ii kitu sijawahi sahau hadi wa leo one bigwig in Twitter akasema ‘look at these one wanafanya show ya ma mboch wanataka kuwa kama Lupita’…” he recalled.

A few months later, Lupita tagged Njugush in a post and expressed how thrilled she always is whenever she watched the show.

This is what changed Njugush’s outlook on critics.

“God ana humble mtu vizuri sana. Lupita ametweete amesema watching Real Househelps of Kawangware God bless Njugush,” he recounts.

It is then that he changed his stage name to “Blessed Njugush” to always remember that what he does is great.

He encouraged people to focus on their goals and not what people say.

To critics, he urged them to tame their bile because they kill many dreams prematurely with unwarranted criticism.
