President Uhuru Kenyatta left Nairobi, Kenya for Washington DC, US ahead of his meeting with President Donald Trump which is scheduled for Monday.
President Kenyatta is expected to discuss various issues of interest to Kenya, among them trade and regional security.
Uhuru is visiting the White House after the US President invited him to discuss a vast array of agendas saying that “Kenya is a vital partner of the United States, and President Trump looks forward to discussing ways to broaden the strategic partnership based on our shared democratic values and mutual interests…”
The plane carrying the President and his delegation departed Jomo Kenyatta International Airport last night.
The two presidents will meet on August 27th.
