A man linked to the unsettling video which showed Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri in an explicit and indecent act has been arrested.
The man, a prison warder at Nyandarua Prison’s was arrested on Thursday at Wanguru Police Station in Mwea where he had gone to report an accident.
Tables however, turned against him after it emerged he was the man detectives had been in hot pursuit of.
The prison warder is believed to be the man captured on the viral video physically assaulting Ndambiri.
According to Citizen Digital, he admitted to being the man caught in camera slapping the Deputy Governor.

Further, he is reported to have been wearing the same clothes he had on the day he was captured on tape.
Ndambiri came out publicly on Wednesday to dispel claims that he was caught off-guard with a lady alleged to be someone else’s wife at a lodge in Kakamega.
Speaking at Thika Police Station, a visibly agitated Ndambiri said he was kidnapped and forced to strip and confess he was in a relationship with the woman also caught on tape naked.
“I do not know the woman nor do I have a relationship with her, I was set up after I refused to part with Ksh.5 million,” said the D.G
He said he was hijacked and taken to a deserted place in Githingiri estate in the outskirts of Thika town where he was tortured, whipped naked and forced to recite everything he was recorded saying.
The Kirinyaga County Deputy boss said he read a political angle in all the misgivings he has been through.
