NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has dismissed claims by Jubilee that his aim is to reintroduce a “nusu mkate” government.
He said he is not ready to share power with thieves.
“We want the whole thing, we will win the Presidential polls and we will win this election very early. We cannot share power with thieves,” he told his supporters in Nairobi on Sunday as quoted by the Star.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto had said that NASA was using every means possible to bring back a coalition government.
Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri was of the same point of view like the President and his Deputy.
Kiunjuri spoke on Saturday in State House where Uhuru hosted Jubilee elected leaders.
Raila also repeated that as opposition, they will not allow the current IEBC to conduct fresh polls.
He said it was evident they cannot be trusted to run free, fair and credible polls.
On Friday, he had called for their prosecution but Jubilee quickly toned down this call daring Raila to oust them out of office.
“If you Raila Odinga you are man enough, try to remove the IEBC Commissioners. If you dare, we shall remove all your friends from all the commissions starting with Judiciary and Supreme Court,” warned Leader of Majority in Parliament MP Aden Duale.
Senate Majority Leader Lipchumba Murkomen added: “I want to tell Raila face to face that if he wants Chebukati removed, Maraga should also go. If he wants Chiloba removed, he should start with Amadi.”
