National dialogue between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his nemesis Raila Odinga could happen soon.

On Friday, Raila met with foreign envoys at his Capitol Hill Office where he laid bare his demands to Jubilee regime before he goes into any form of negotiation with Uhuru.

Raila flatly told the envoys he is not interested in forming any coalition with Jubilee nor share power with Uhuru.

One of the pre-conditions set is that the talks must border on electoral justice and nothing less.

“We demanded that any meeting must be centered on electoral justice for meaningful negotiations to take place between Jubilee and NASA,” a source at the meeting led by US ambassador Robert Godec and UK High Commissioner Nic Hailey told the Standard.

NASA was represented by Raila, Co-principal Musalia Mudavadi, Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyoka who represented Moses Wetangula and Governor Kivutha Kibwana who appeared for Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kalonzo has been out of the country for sometime attending to his sick wife in a German Hospital.

Mudavadi spoke on behalf of the opposition while Raila remained silent.

Another pre-condition set by the opposition was that government admits that NASA supporters were killed by police.

“We also demanded that Kenyatta comes out and publicly apologises to Kenyans over the extra judicial killings by the police and also denounce their conduct.”

Mudavadi added that for the talks to begin, Uhuru must personally call Raila and organize for an exclusive meeting before other parties from both sides come on board.

The ANC boss said failure by Jubilee to honor the pre-conditions set; there will be nothing further to engage with Jubilee regime.

He also said they will not “accept and move on.

Onyonka on his part told the diplomats that Jubilee is tactical and has delayed naming its personnel in government because they plan to hand those positions to NASA.

Kibwana in a changed tone turned the heat on the envoys expressing anger with their alleged “lecture” on the opposition.

Raila had earlier hit out at the envoys telling them to stop meddling in Kenya’s affairs.

He said Kenya does not need any input from western countries to handle its issues.

The envoys however, insisted that Raila must shelve his swearing-in plan slated for Tuesday.

They said this was a recipe to further deepen the political impasse between government and opposition.

Yesterday, ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen said everything is in place “for the many activities for Tuesday” but they will announce the venue for Raila’s “inauguration” on Sunday.

Government on the other hand has warned that anyone who tries declare himself president will face treason charges.

Attorney General Githu Muigai on Thursday in a presser said the punishment for treason is death.
