Raila to face house arrest if he blocks repeat polls-Kuria

NASA Leader Raila Odinga

A vocal Jubilee MP has said they will place NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga under house arrest if he tries to block repeat polls.

“If Raila tries to stop us from voting on October 17, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did Jaramogi [Oginga Odinga],” wrote Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria in his facebook page on Sunday.

His post comes amid consistent statements from the NASA Chief saying no repeat polls will be held before their demands to IEBC are met.

Raila has called for the sacking of 11 IEBC officials including CEO Ezra Chiloba, Deputy CEO Betty Nyabuto and ICT Manager James Muhati.

Raila also wants Immaculate Kassait, Praxedes Tororey and several commissioners among them Dr Abdi Guliye sent home.

NASA also wants the printing of Presidential ballot papers done by another firm and not Dubai based Al Ghurair.

Raila does not want Safran Morpho to provide IEBC with election management system. He claims they have evidence the French firm has close ties with some personalities within IEBC and government.

In a recent rally in Kasarani, Nairobi, Deputy President William Ruto alleged Raila was hatching a move to frustrate repeat polls.

But, said the DP, government has put in place measures to ensure that everything goes as planned.
