Rose Muhando, a one-time revered gospel artiste from Tanzania is on a mission to put up a church and has turned to Kenyans to raise funds for this noble initiative.
Muhando will soon be launching her new album and the entry charges are Ksh50,000 per person.
Recently, she told a local radio station during an interview that God has done so much for her and it is time she did something great to please him too.
“You know I want to do something for my God, I want to build him a house, I mean a church. And that is why I have been all out trying to achieve that,” she remarked.
She thanked Kenyans for supporting her through prayers when she was facing storms in her life a year ago.
Muhando said Kenya is dear to her heart because it is where she finally got healed after being hospitalized for month.
She would later stir another controversy in 2018 after appearing in a viral video where Neno Evangelism Pastor Maina Ng’ang’a was seen allegedly exorcising “evils spirits in her”.
The viral clip was intriguing as Ng’ang’a started praying for her and she fell to the ground, writhing uncontrollably as the prayers continued.
Before the ‘exorcism’, Muhando had battled negative criticism over a string of scandals she was involved in.
First, she fell into drug addiction. The vice left her penniless as she sold her property including four luxurious vehicles to sustain her addiction.
When she was done, Muhando, would take pay for gigs that she never attended.
Since her rehabilitation, she moved to Kenya citing death threats in Tanzania.
She released a song with Kenya’s gospel musician Ringtone Apoko a while after successfully completing her rehabilitation programme.
