Ruto’s Karen home plays host to Jubilee point men in NASA strongholds

Jubilee Party has heightened its mobilization drive ahead of the August 8 polls with Deputy President William Ruto taking over the mantle of mobilization.

According to his Spokesman David Mugonyi, Ruto is in-charge of mobilization for the party.

Last week, his Karen home played host to Jubilee point men in Western, Coast, and Ukambani regions respectively where Jubilee has been on the charm in the recent past.

The meetings with the leaders of Jubilee from these regions are geared towards laying final campaign strategy ahead of August 8 polls.

Ruto is tasked with steering Jubilee Party campaigns especially in regions perceived to be NASA strongholds.

Mugonyi said the meetings will intensify as the country nears elections. Ruto will steer them with a goal to harvest more votes for Jubilee come August 8.

Ruto is a renowned mobilizer. Before joining Jubilee, he mobilized thousands of supporters from Rift Valley and voted for the then ODM Presidential candidate Raila Odinga in 2007.

After falling out with Raila and teaming up with Uhuru Kenyatta, he again mobilized thousands of voters in Rift Valley and other areas where Jubilee was voted for overwhelmingly.

Fast forward to today, he took the driver’s seat in the recently concluded Jubilee primaries and personally monitored the whole exercise up to its completion.

He took charge after the exercise was hit by massive irregularities on its first day prompting the party to cancel the primaries and reschedule them.
