In October 2016, Jamhuri News shared with you an appeal by a 24-year-old veteran, Stanley Nganga of Massachusetts. Stanley needed a kidney and financial help since he had stopped working due to medical complications.
At that time, Stanley had lost 85% of his kidney function and needed urgent medical care.
well-wishers donated money via Gofundme and volunteered to be tested for kidney compatibility to help Stanley recover.
On Thursday, Stanley’s wife, Taylor Nganga posted the ”last update” on the Gofundme page saying that Stanley received a kidney this past Tuesday and is recovering and doing wonderfully ready for discharge.
”Stanley received a kidney this past Tuesday. He is currently recovering and doing wonderfully. The doctors anticipate he will be home tomorrow! Stanley and I would like to thank everyone who supported us, donated, and got tested to be a donor…We wish to especially thank Stanley’s donor, Elissa Carr, our wonder woman!” Said Taylor
