Upon inspection, the body of Nyokabi was found.

Police traced the owner of the vehicle and tracked down Karani to Kimbo in Githurai where he was arrested.

The suspect is said to have head an altercation with Nyokabi who was his ‘mpango wa kando’ and he assaulted her. He then tortured her and brutally killed her.

He bundled the body into his to dump it but it got stuck on mud thereby thwarting his mission. He abandoned both the body and the car at the scene and left.

He is currently in custody at Juja Police Station.

He will be arraigned on Monday as police continue with investigation.

This is the latest murder cases to be reported in less than a fortnight after that of KBC journalist Betty Barasa who was shot in the head at her Ololua home in Ngong.

Betty was on her way from work when assailants armed with AK47 rifles and a pistol pounced on her.

One of them shot her upstairs in her bedroom and left the scene.

Detectives say that she was assassinated on orders by someone who is yet to be arrested.
