You have to be responsible for your health going forward, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has warned Kenyans as coronavirus cases hit 8,250 after 183 people tested positive on Tuesday.

Kagwe said that this is a time when every Kenyan must take personal responsibility and do what is right to stay safe from contracting COVID-19.

“Nobody will look after you. Take responsibility now. We opened because we believe that Kenyans can take care of themselves. The ball is in your court,” he said.

“This responsibility is clear and not difficult. We learned a long time ago what you can do so as not to get Aids. Now we have told Kenyans how not to get the coronavirus,” he added

The Health CS announced that of the new cases, 177 are Kenyans while six are foreigners. The oldest patient is 79 years and the youngest is four years old.

He also announced that 90 patients have been discharged bringing the total of discharged patients to 2,504.

Sadly three more people died bringing the death toll to 167.
