President Uhuru Kenyatta has been told to forget Ukambani votes.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu said the President will not get 170, 000 votes he got from the region during the August 8 poll.

She said they will vote for NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

This, Ngilu stated, would be a statement for Jubilee.

“The Kamba vote belongs to the National Super Alliance; we voted for Raila Odinga and without apologies, we will cast our lot with him again,” said Ngilu in Kitui town Sunday as Daily Nation quotes.

Ngilu also said that Uhuru’s tirade against Supreme Court Judges and his strong defense for IEBC is indicative the last polls were flawed.

Uhuru’s tirade against the Chief Justice David Maraga and other Judges on the bench has irked Nyamira residents, Maraga’s home county.

They staged a peaceful protest yesterday [Sunday] hitting out at the President for calling the CJ “mkora” (thug]

Banners held high in the air expressed their displeasure with the statement.

They said their “man” is the CJ and not “mkora” as termed by Uhuru.

“We are bitter about the statement that was issued by President Uhuru and we are telling him to respect Maraga,” said Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.

Uhuru issued the statement on Friday at Burma market in Nairobi after his election was nullified and fresh elections ordered within 60 days.

West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said Nyamira will not vote for Uhuru in the repeat polls.

In the nullified polls, Uhuru performed fairly well in Kisii and Nyamira Counties which are perceived opposition strongholds.
