Veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli set for TV comeback

Veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli is set for return to the screen years after she hang her boots.

This time around, she will be gracing the screens of the national broadcaster Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

Sources at the station intimate that the 59-year-old broadcaster, together with other veteran anchors have already signed the contract ahead of the station’s re-launch.

“This is a big project. Most of them have signed their contracts and have been coming around to familiarise,” a source at the station intimated.

Kasavuli will be working alongside renowned actors such as Cynthia Nyamai, Badi Mukhsin, Tom Mboya, Shiksha Arora, Ahmed Juma Bhalo, Fred Indimuli, Nancy Onyancha and Pauline Sheghu.

Currently, KBC studios are being renovated in wait for the launch.
“The news studios are also undergoing renovations, and everyone agrees this is a project that will excite the audience,” added the source.

Kasavuli has previously worked at KBC in the early 90s. She left for KTN and ended up at Citizen TV where she anchored alongside Tom Mboya.

Since she left the screen seven years ago, she ventured into public relation and other private businesses.

Kasavuli worked with Kasavuli for over a decade at KBC before he retired and retreated to his native home in Ukambani.
