Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has said a well wisher will provide 20, 000 loaves of bread and an equal amount of bottled water and sodas for NASA demonstrators daily.
The MP said this will start tomorrow (Friday) as NASA demonstrators the time this week, hit the road to push for reforms at the IEBC.
Arati pledged to ensure their supporters do not picket on empty stomachs now that NASA has announced daily demonstrations against IEBC starting next week on Monday.
He, however, did not reveal the identity of the well wisher who pledged to provide the refreshments.
But even as this pledge was welcomed, sections of businesses in the Central Business District are hurting as they were looted.
In a viral video doing rounds in social media, youths believed to be NASA supporters are seen looting at an establishment in town, Antonio’s Grill.
Some other vehicles with shattered windscreens also appear.
NASA through former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama denied that it was NASA supporters who were looting.
He said their supporters promised not to misbehave and kept their end of te bargain.
He associated the group seen looting to the Nairobi Business Community which has since distanced itself from the looting.
