The 2017 elections came with their share of controversies and anxiety. They also brought about the sudden rise to fame of Githeriman as they did Ezra Chiloba, the IEBC CEO.

Chiloba attracted a lot of attention with his accent during the election period. Some ladies stated they could not get over their apparent admiration for the CEO, nicknaming him- Chilobae. After a few announcements at the Bomas of Kenya, the love-smitten individuals took to social media declaring their interest in Ezra.

The CEO is making headlines again after he sang at Chris Msando’s requiem mass. He accompanied other IEBC officials to pay their last respects to the departed. The mass was held Thursday, August 17, at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands, Nairobi, ahead of his burial yesterday, August 19.

Msando was an ICT manager who was killed mysteriously before the August 8th elections. In the mass, Chiloba led his team in singing the song, ‘It is well’.

As it turns out, Chiloba has the voice to sing serenades as well. Some people just loved how he pronounced ”Form Tharri Four B”, while others loved his masculine figure accentuated by his fitting suits.

Mr. Chiloba is happily married. He had this to say to Biko at an interview concerning his newly found fame, “I’m not the type of guy who goes out searching for fame. I just focus on my job. This is some sort of brief national infatuation. On the flip side, it’s a good thing because it drew attention to elections with the younger demographic. They paid attention.”
