Starehe MP parliamentary seat aspirant Charles Kanyi alias Jaguar, broke into tears after a ruling by Appeals Tribunal of the Jubilee Party on Sunday.

The Tribunal ruled that Jaguar should hold talks with his opponent Maina Kamanda, Incumbent Starehe MP and resolve their standoff.

This ruling brought the Kigeugeu singer to an uncontrollable sob in front of the cameras.

He did not expect such a ruling in light of what the evidence he says shows that Kamanda rigged the nominations.

Across 27 polling stations in Starehe constituency, Jaguar emerged victorious garnering 9, 819 votes against Kamanda’s 6, 651 votes according to his agents.

But when the final results were announced, Kamanda was in the lead with 10, 374 votes while Jaguar got 8, 391 votes.

On Saturday, the talented singer had hinted at going it alone to the ballot.

“The people of Starehe nominated me as their preferred candidate to Run as Starehe Mp for the Jubilee party. However, as we are all aware, the peoples democratic right to vote was subverted.

“I would like to state that this is no longer about me but about the people of starehe who not only nominated me but equally believe in my promise of a better and prosperous future for Starehe. I will neither give up nor let my Voters down. God is on our side. The deadline reserved for the issuance of my certificate is today. Regardless of the outcome, rest assured I will be in the Ballot Box come August 8th 2017,” he poted on his facebook page.
