With repeat poll date, October 26 quickly approaching, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s sister, Christina Pratt, in a rare show; has drummed support for her brother’s re-election.

During a recent meeting of the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya (NFDK) which she chairs, she said though her job does not allow her to politick, Kenyans should vote for Uhuru.

“Although my work as chair of NFDK does not allow me to talk politics, I urge my fellow Kenyans to look back and count the many projects Jubilee has fulfilled and then cast the vote for President Uhuru,” said Pratt in Baringo as quoted by the Star.

She remarked that under Uhuru’s leadership, Kenya has been transformed.

Another five years for Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto, she said, will develop the country even further.

She commissioned Sh3.2 million classrooms constructed by NFDK at OChii Special School for the Deaf and Blind in Baringo Central sub-county.

Pratt said Jubilee’s allocation of Sh300 million in the last financial year to projects for people living with disabilities across the country is one of the milestone Uhuru’s government can ride on.

“The grants have seen NFDK commission up to 72 flagship projects across the country and we have already completed 47 while the rest are ongoing,” she added.

Jubilee is riding on development agenda that it has achieved in the last four years.

But NASA has dismissed this as “lip service” saying Jubilee has done nothing in its tenure of leadership other than “stealing” and “excessive borrowing”.

Still matters Jubilee campaign ahead of repeat polls, Rift Valley leaders allied to the party have told off NASA’s Raila Odinga over “plot to form nusu mkate government”.

Governors Jackson Mandago (Uasin Gishu) and Stephen Sang (Nandi) said Raila is trying to avoid repeat polls to create a constitutional crisis and later form a coalition government.

“Raila is always claiming his victory has been stolen come election time. He is not a democrat and should in fact quit politics and let the country move on. The best thing is for him to give up so that Uhuru takes charge,” said Sang.

“He cannot have his way always. He fears defeat,” he added.
