After serving his brother’s political interest for the last 25 years, Ford Kenya boss Moses Wetangula’s younger brother, Fred Wetangula has bid him goodbye and joined Jubilee, the Star reports.

Fred, together with a host of youths from Bungoma who now supports President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election have said it is a new beginning.

The team led by Fred has held several meeting with Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka who is Jubilee’s point man in Western Kenya.

They have also been seen accompanying him to Jubilee events donned in full Jubilee regalia-red t-shirts and caps.

The fallout was spiked by the NASA principal’s arbitral move to install candidates who were unwanted in various positions within the county.

This did not go down well with his brother who has been handling his political affairs since 1992.

“Enough is enough. We will no longer support Ford Kenya. We have been used for long but only Moses benefits,” lamented Fred as told by the Star.

He added: “This man has been using us to fight his wars only to end up rewarding the highest bidders. We are going to expose him.”

Fred’s exit from Ford Kenya’s which commands a huge following in Bungoma has a ripple effect on the Bungoma Senator’s (Moses Wetangula) campaign.

Political analyst Isaac Wanjekeche said Fred’s exit complicates matters for Wetangula.

“Anybody who understands Bungoma and Wetangula’s politics understands the role his young brother Fred has been playing. He was the man in charge of his operations and by crossing over complicates matters for the Senator in his home turf,” he said.
