The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO Ezra Chiloba has made a comeback to social media circles after maintaining a low profile since the October 26 repeat presidential polls.
Chiloba went on a three-week leave before the polls were held.
He has been at the centre of controversy with the opposition blaming him for the bungled August 8 polls.
Raila Odinga, NASA’s leader pushed for Chiloba’s exit from the commission but he, Chiloba stayed put.
He was forced to go on leave before the repeat polls as a show that he would not have any role to play in the election.
However, after weeks of total silence, Chiloba on December 7 stirred the waters with Kenyans on Twitter.
He tweeted in response to a talk show on K24 hosted by media personality Kalekye Mumo on Kenyan rapper Octopizzo.
“Refreshing listening to @Octopizzo at #TalkCentral. Reflective and purposeful in though and in action. Keep it up!@KalekyeMumo,” read his tweet.
But KOT veered off the subject of his tweet and attacked him viciously; they reminded him of his alleged role in bungling August 8 polls.
“Hehehehe, you have finally resurfaced from your hideout. Open the servers,” @Oredavid told Chiloba.
Others told him not to rope in the rapper in his tweets because he is a good man.
“Octopizzo is a good man. Don’t involve him in your tweets,” @underratedninja said.
There are those who nonetheless, welcomed back Chiloba christened as Chilobae to social media.
“Welcome back sir, you have been silent for long,” @KibetKoech said.
