I owe nobody any explanation regarding my post, Kuria hits back

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has responded to Kenyans and politicians condemning him over a degrading Facebook post regarding slain IEBC ICT Director Chris Msando.

The fiery MP said he owes no one any explanation as to why he wrote the message on his facebook page.

He said social media is no police officer and he will not bow to any pressure to apologize or make any explanation regarding the disappearance and consequent death of Msando.

This is even as government termed him as a person of interest in the murder case.

Government Spokesman Eric Kiraithe on Wednesday said they are treating Kuria as a person of interest in the case.

He also said that he should apologize.

“Moses Kuria is a person of interest and I can assure you that no one will escape. Moses Kuria should apologize,” Kiraithe said.

Before Msando was found dead on Monday, Kuria had posted his picture standing next to Msando’s car that had been abandoned at a parking lot in Roysambu’s TRM Mall.

He posted: “So this is Chris Musando’s vehicle right now here at Roysambu. The idiot is sharing sweet time with a woman. And the story was that he is privy to ‘rigging’ and he can’t be found. Verily, verily unto you Raila. You will not burn this country. Not when I am alive.”

And after news of Msando’s murder, Kenyans turned their attention to the post which he pulled down without any word.

Sections of politicians have chided him over the post.

“To say the least, what Moses Kuria did was for lack of better words, stupid and reckless,” said Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichug’wa.

Miguna Miguna further remarked: “It is worrying to see Moses Kuria posted something quite outrageous. This man really has exceeded all license anybody could have given him”.
