Ahmednasir claims millions have exchanged hands in Kenyan High Courts following election petitions

The Judiciary is on the spot yet again after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi alleged there is massive bribery at the country’s High Courts following election petitions.

The legal egghead sensationally claimed that “tens of millions” have exchanged hands in High Courts within the country.

He further turned heat on the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) saying they are doing nothing to remedy the situation denting the court’s image.

“Massive bribery happening in the High Court in election petitions throughout the country…tens of millions exchanging hands…and the judicial Service Commission (JSC) is silent doing nothing…total disgrace…” tweeted the city lawyer on Saturday.

With his tweet, a section of Kenyans aired their frustration with the Judiciary’s constant accusations of malpractice.

Eva Mutua said: “This is the judiciary system that we live in, my brother has frustrated a family succession matter for eons, crooked lawyers, crooked clerks, crooked everything. My poor mother pays the price. So your tweet is not an exception but a mention of a norm.”

Ochoggia noted: “We are left with God to steer justice. The 21st century Kenya is a hatchery for crooks. I hope and pray for our CJ and team to restore sanity in our courts.”

Joseph Odera: “I agree, you are very right, big deals being cut, good to speak very loud, JSC has proved to be hopeless though.”

But others fired up the lawyer to adduce evidence to back his claim. They said he could have sensed defeat in the election petition filed after the October 26 repeat elections.

“Why blame JSC? Do they have the information you have? Why not share with them the evidence in ur possession? Or U likely 2 lose a petition & just looking 4 who to blame? I’ll b keen 2 know those U represent @Disembe @KBonimtetezi @EtalePhilip @Yells_O @solo_ambuku @lindahoguttu,” said Ken Ambula.

“You’ve no moral authority to talk about corruption in the Judiciary yet you’ve been an http://accomplice.How  did your bribery case end?” asked Son of The Lake.

“People are smelling defeat,” said Edith Lumumba.

“Are U sensing a defeat in all the cases u handling (don’t divert our attention),” asked Zizouu.

“Report the issue if you have enough evidence. Twitter can’t help, why direct the complaint. present the full proof; you are a former JSC member and you understand the process better, I hope,” Ibernow Adan told the lawyer.

“Bwana SC. It’s time you realize that all cases must not go your way. When you are about to lose, you start claims of bribery. If you have an aorta of evidence please report to Halake Wako and team. There’s no petition determined yet and you are already at it,” wrote Mohamed.
