After claims by sections of the public that he could have stage managed his kidnapping to get sympathy votes, Charles Chege alias “Chege Fresh” has spoken out.

Addressing Journalists at King’eero police station on Tuesday where he went to record a statement over the incident, Chege rubbished the claims saying he could not have done that since he knows he has won the primaries already.

“How can the number one hide yet he has already won the nomination and the election,” he asked.

He did not answer any other questions regarding the incident.

The 32-year old politician eyeing Kabete Parliamentary seat was allegedly kidnapped on Friday last week and his vehicle sprayed with bullets.

It was later found abandoned near Rungiri dam but he was nowhere to be seen.

Police launched a heightened search for him and he was later found on Sunday lying near a dam in Narok by passers-by.

Speaking in response to the matter, Kabete OCPD Joseph Ongaya in response to the matter said, “As of now, we cannot comment on who kidnapped him. We haven’t finished our investigations. We shall let you know once we are through,” Ongaya told members of the public.

”People are speaking a lot about it. I believe we have been recording the right statements.” He added
