Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have arrested a terror queen who has been running a ganster squad in Nairobi.

Lavender Akinyi Ogilo was arrested on Tuesday at her Ruaka home after a raid by police officers.

DCI boss George Kinoti, according to Nairobi News, said the suspect has been running a four-member gang targeting supermarkets in Nairobi’s upmarket estates.

For the last three years, Kinoti added, Akinyi and her accomplices have unleashed terror on Muthaiga, Lavington and Kileleshwa residents where her operations have been concentrated.

Before her arrest on Tuesday, she was captured by CCTV cameras in Muthaiga while robbing residents.

She is currently being held at Kilimani Police Station.
