Joy as separated twins Blessing and Favour are discharged from KNH {PHOTOS+Video}

Siamise twins: Blessing Kathure and Favour Karimi leaving Kenyatta National Hospital 9 months after separation.
The Siamese twins separated at Kenyatta National Hospital have been discharged after spending nine months in the hospital recovering.
Blessing Kathure and Favour Karimi were separated by a team of 58-strong surgeons doctors in a historic 23-hour operation in November. The operation was led by pediatric surgeon Fred Kabuni, going into records as first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The two-year-old twins had been admitted in September 2016 but remained in the hospital after surgery to allow them to gain strength and develop sufficient muscle. They had their spines and lower back had fused such that, although each had their own gut, they shared the anus and genitals.
The two were delivered normally on September 4, 2014, at St Theresa’s Mission Hospital in Meru County
