Suspected car thief attacked by bees in a stolen car, seeks refuge at police station

There was drama at Bungoma Police Station on Monday when a suspected car thief dashed in a haze after being attacked by a swam of bees while inside a car he had stolen, reports the Star.

The man, Francis Sikadigu, a Ugandan national is said to have wanted to hire the car from a local car hire dealer John Wafula for five days.

They met at a hotel where Sikadigu insisted that he wanted Toyota Premio and Axio latest models for his clients.

He was given a sh5, 000 quotation for each of the cars for every of the five days but he remained non-committal.

Moments later, Wafula left the table where he was sipping his drink only to return and sip it and started feeling dizzy.

He was drugged by the suspect and was rushed to hospital where e woke up the following day and discovered his car keys were missing.

He approached a witch doctor who assured him that he would get his vehicle in three days.

“I approached a traditional doctor who assured me that my car will be found in three days. The traditional medicine man assured me that the suspect will not leave Bungoma town and will be attacked by bees,” said Wafula.

Sikadigu was forced to rush to the nearby police station where he made a confession before seeking the help of traditional healer to get off the bee spell from his back.

Bungoma South OCPD David Kirui said they are investigating the matter.
