Pauline Njoroge clears the air on her political ambitions

Pauline Njoroge, a communications specialist who steered online campaigns for the defunct National Alliance party (TNA) has opened up on her perceived interest in elective politics.

Pauline has made it clear that she is not eyeing any elective seat in the 2022 General Elections.

She spoke a day after her contribution at Githiga PCEA Church during the Woman’s Guild Sunday.

Her Ksh250,000 donation sparked a flurry of questions and speculations that she was laying the base for her ‘2022 political ambition’.

“Today I was a guest at PCEA Githiga Church during the Woman’s Guild Sunday, where I gave a contribution of Ksh 250,000 towards supporting the groups projects/programmes,” she posted on her Facebook page.

Pauline who prides in being born and bred in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Kiambu backyard said that she has a lot of fond memories of the PCEA Githiga church.

It is here that she honed her leadership skills at a young age.

“PCEA Githiga Church is home to me. It is here and at Githiga Primary School, where I was first taught and exposed to leadership at an early age. On some special occasions, I would be asked to do Bible reading during the main service. I was also in the Boys and Girls Brigade leadership.”

After this statement, speculation came in fast and furious that her actions speak more of political ambitions.

Pauline has since dismissed claims that she is out to venture into elective politics.

She says that Kenyans have developed a notion that support for the church translates to politics.

“I have seen your comments and questions regarding yesterday’s fundraiser, and I just want to confirm once again that I am not going for any seat in 2022. I have no interest at all and this is something I am very clear about,” she maintained.

She added: “There is this notion among some Kenyans that anytime a person supports or contributes to a cause/project in his/her backyard, be it at ward, constituency or county level, he/she is going for a political seat.”
