Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has warned a former Jubilee stalwart for what he termed as constant attacks on the Presidency and his Deputy.
The CS said that Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has been attacking President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto since he lost in the Jubilee Primaries to Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu.
He warned that he would expose Kabogo’s shady business deals according to The Star.
“During his tenure as Juja MP, Kabogo contributed little and most of his motions were only aimed at defending his mysterious businesses. He should be reminded that he spent time attending to inquests to absolve himself on mysterious deaths that had occurred on highways,” said Kiunjuri.
He opined that Kabogo’s wealth is a mystery to many Kenyans and he should be tasked to explain its source.
The two have had a strained relationship since conclusion of Jubilee primaries.
Kabogo attributed his downfall to Ruto and Kiunjuri.
He said that some powerful people in government are engineered his downfall.
At one point, the Kiambu County boss rapped the Devolution CS hypothetically telling him that Kenya cannot be governed by proverbs and pointed shoes.
Kiunjuri in response to the statement said that it was an attack on his personality that was unwarranted.
He said Kabogo was a victim of his own deeds because he was voted out for disrespecting women and not because of any influence from Jubilee’s top leadership.
