Former Cabinet minister Nicholas Biwott is dead.
According to his personal assistant, Mr Biwott, 77, also known as ‘Total Man’, passed on at a Nairobi hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Biwott was former President Moi’s right hand man, helping him deal with the opposition fearlessly in 1980s and 90s.
According to sources, Biwott’s health deteriorated in the past one year, and has been in and out of hospital.
Total Man’s National Vision Party of Kenya (NVP) had endorsed President Kenyatta for reelection, and his death is another blow to the president who is still mourning the loss of Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery who passed on last Saturday.
