Wetangula’s bodyguard fired from police service for causing gun drama at the Supreme Courts

A bodyguard to one of the NASA principals Moses Wetangula has been fired.

Constable Simon Lonyan’g was arrested and held at the central police station after engaging in a scuffle with security personnel outside the Supreme Court on Monday.

Lonyan’g, who served at the GSU was disarmed after he forced himself inside the Supreme Court premises together with NASA principals while armed.

His pistol magazine was loaded with several bullets and was emptied immediately when he was taken out of the court by security agents.

Lonyan’g was dismissed from the National Police Service and is currently being held at the central police station, as he awaits to be arraigned in court on Wednesday to answer to charges of creating a disturbance.
