An autopsy report for Benjamin Imbai, one of the four men who mysteriously disappeared in Kitengela on April 19 has been released.

Imbai’s body was found at General Kago Funeral Home in Thika last week as that of Elijah Obuong, 35, was found at a morgue in Murang’a.

The report indicates that Imbai was strangled and his body had a lot of bruises pointing to a struggle with his killers.

His hands had marks as well as his next. The hypothesis is that he was handcuffed while being strangled before a rope was used to completely starve him air.

“On respiratory system…there is muscle and oesophagus bruising while on the cardiovascular system, there are contusions of the major neck blood vessels due to strangulation,” the post-mortem report reads in part according to Daily Nation.

The autopsy further indicated that Imbai’s digestive system had bruised starting at the oropharynx (middle part of the throat) and posterior tongue an indication that his killers hit him repeatedly around the mouth and throat areas.

The deceased also had a haemorrhage on the conjunctivae of both eyes.

Police records show that he was found in Kieni forest by a plumber who was on his way to work. his hands had bruises and had no shirt on. The body had started to decompose.

“A plumber who was working on water pipes that passes through kieni forest told police that he stumbled on the body of the deceased when he was repairing the water pipes that passes through the forest. We contacted our DCI counterparts from this area and transferred the body to General Kago Funeral Home,” police reports read.
