State House has reached out to a 21-year old disabled man from Thika after his photos voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta started doing rounds on social media Thursday.
Gichuhi Macharia, stunned Kenyans after photos of him emerged voting showing him voting for Uhuru using his legs.
The President-elect was too taken aback by this devotion.
He directed Transport CS James Macharia and local administration officers to find Gichuhi.
He was found in Witeithie Estate where he has rented a single room.
Gichuhi is a Diploma graduate in Computer Science.
He types, drives, writes and eats using his feet.
He told the Star many politicians pledged to him during campaigns in the run up to August 8 polls but they did not keep the promise.
“People promised to assist me during campaigns but they never keep their promise and after months of trying to follow up, I gave up,” he said.
His dream is to start a cosmetic business and end reliance on donations by well wishers whom he depends on for survival.
“What I want is a business that can accommodate cosmetics, a salon, barbershop and cybercafe. All I need is capital,” he added.
With this thought in mind and an invite to State House, his dream could finally be coming true
