High Court judge Joseph Onguto has passed away. Onguto collapsed at Parklands Sports Club in Nairobi on Thursday evening and died moments after he was rushed to the hospital.
The judge had just been nominated by the judicial commission together with 11 others.
According to a local daily, Onguto went to the club at around 7.30 pm and just moments before taking his juice at the club he collapsed.
Colleagues and other members tried to resuscitate him before rushing him to MP Shah Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Onguto was appointed in July 2014 by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
