Do not look back on your dream to become Kenya’s fifth President, Siaya Senator James Orengo has told his long-time political ally Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Mombasa during a consultative forum on the People’s Assembly at Sun n Sand Beach Hotel in Kikambala, Kilifi County, Orengo told Raila to stay on course.
“Like the story in the bible, do not look back lest you turn into stone,” Orengo told Raila according to the Star.
The NASA legal mind told the NASA chief that even when government tries to thwart his bid, he should not waver.
He said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidency cannot be recognized because it did not meet the threshold required.
“He only got less than 25 per cent of the votes cast on October 26.”
Speaking on the thorny secession issue, Orengo noted it is within the law to talk about it because it is the sovereign power of the people.
He told the forum that President Uhuru’s threat on advocates of secession is mere rhetoric.
“Uhuru does not know what he is saying. He will be in more trouble himself,” charged the NASA lawyer.
