Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has engaged his Embakasi East counterpart Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino in a war of words.

The tiff was sparked by Babu who slandered Kuria as a “village elder” in a facebook post on Thursday.

He wrote: “Moses Kuria was a SONU treasurer, a position that was a preserve for ladies. I was a SONU chairman for 4 terms. I will never argue with a village leader with jiggers infested in the brain.”

Possibly irked by the post, the fiery Gatundu South legislator jibed the Embakasi East MP in a long Facebook post on Friday morning.

Kuria termed Babu as a “small boy” who believes that SONU’s treasurer position is a preserve of women.

“A small boy says that the position of SONU Treasurer is reserved for girls,” posted Kuria. He went ahead to tell how many men have held the same position in past years.

“First, the year I was elected SONU Treasurer is the year Babu Owino was born. I am not in any way suggesting that I could be Babu’s mother; but secondly, the last SONU Treasurer before me was a leader of NRM and #Resist Miguna Miguna.

Kuria added that by Babu being an opposition MP and working closely with Miguna who is championing for resistance against Jubilee regime; he could not think differently.

“That’s where Babu Owino gets it right. When you have your uprising led by a senior girl guide like Miguna Miguna, you start to see it for what it is.

In fact, I now totally agree with Babu Owino. NRM and #Resist are illusory projects led by Alice Lakwena Miguna Miguna.”

Kuria first went on an offensive on Tuesday when he chided Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja for bailing out Babu Owino from Parklands Police cells where he had been locked up since Friday last week.

The legislator alleged that Sakaja could be working for the opposition since Babu is an ODM elected MP.

His sentiments did not sit very well with the Embakasi East MP who responded by a jibe sparking an ugly tell-off between them.

Kuria also advised NASA chief Raila Odinga against his planned oath taking next week on Tuesday.

In reference to a section of NASA allied Nyanza MPs, Kuria warned Raila that they will lead him to the gallows if he goes on with the swearing-in plan on January 30.

“Be afraid jakom,” Kuria said. “These expeditionary kinsmen of yours will send you to the gallows next week. You will thank me later-but you won’t! Dead men tell no tales!”
