Three suspects linked with the shooting of Deputy Chief Justice David Mwilu’s car and injuring her driver will be arraigned before a Kibera Court today.

The three, James Wachira(26), Erick Njuguna (28), and John Mwaura (21) are facing charges of robbery with violence and murder.

They were arrested on November 17 in Ruiru. Upon investigations, a firearm stolen from Mwilu’s driver-cum-bodyguard was recovered.

Police confirmed that the serial number matches the one given by Constable Titus Musyoka who was shot at by the suspects before they robbed him.

A holster for the gun was also recovered at one of the suspect’s house in Kasarani.

Musyoka was shot at on October 24 near Marsabit Plaza along Ngong road. He had stopped to buy pot flowers when the suspects opened fire on him.

A phone stolen from slain KDF officer Francis Wanyonyi led detectives from Karuri Police Station led to the arrest of the three.

Wanyonyi was killed in Kahawa Wendani area three months ago.
