Video: Moses Kuria calls for ‘manhunt’, Tuju distances JP from his remark terming it unacceptable

Controversial Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has stirred political waters yet again prompting Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael to declare him out of order.

Shortly after addressing Jubilee supporters in Wangige on Tuesday, Kuria Facebook that there were on a manhunt for 70, 000 residents residing in Kiambu who voted for NASA in the bungled August 8 polls.

“Kiambu has spoken. They have said. Wembe ni ule ule (the razor blade is the same one). Wangige and Kiambu people are seething with anger. One million of their votes were cancelled by four people,” wrote the MP

He added: “But they are so ready to do it. And even more. Manhunt is on tonight for the 200, 000 people who did not vote and the other 70, 000 that voted for that other demon [Raila].”

Tuju in an interview with NTV condemned Kuria for the remarks.

“That’s completely out of order and I will not accept that kind of language. And if it is true, I will take up with him. It is unacceptable,” said Tuju.

He distanced Jubilee Party from Kuria’s remarks.

“It is not a Jubilee policy. It cannot be a Jubilee policy and we cannot be put on the spot by mistakes of a few elements in the party which are preaching wrong things.”

Kenyans on twitter lashed out at the MP.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino tweeted: “Moses Kuria is putting the lives of our lovely Kikuyu brothers and sisters who are living outside Rift Valley and Mt Kenya in danger.”
