[VIDEO] Mutahi Ngunyi: These are Uhuru’s 3 “irreducible minimums”

Political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to state his irreducible minimums as well.

In his weekly political show, the Fifth Estate uploaded on You Tube, Ngunyi said with claims of forgery dogging the Supreme Court, Uhuru should also state his irreducible minimums.

“The Supreme Court forged a document; at least that’s what we were told. Then they went ahead to nullify Uhuru’s election using the same forged documents,” says the analyst.

He adds that the situation is now dire because those who used the forged documents are the same people who are fighting to conduct investigations into the forgery.

“The truth of this forgery cannot be investigated and the only people who can authorize the investigation are the people accused of forgery. If this is not an insult to our collective intelligence as Kenyans; then we are a nation of dumb people in my view,” states Ngunyi.

Supreme Court Registrar Esther Nyaiyaki has been accused of forging documents used by Supreme Court Judges to make a ruling on a petition challenging Uhuru’s victory on August 8 polls by NASA.

IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba maintains that all documents forwarded by the commission to the court were certified and had security features and were also dully signed.

But in the majority ruling which nullified August 8 polls, the judges-4 led by Chief Justice David Maraga cited that the elections were irregular because some result forms lacked security features and had not been signed as stipulated by the law.

The court has refused to hand over the documents to the EACC claiming that unless they obtain a court order, the matter is under the jurisdiction of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

And with the pronouncement by the Judiciary represented by Chief Registrar Ann Amadi, Ngunyi notes that just like Raila Odinga has stated his irreducible minimums before repeat polls; Uhuru should also state his and know why his victory was taken away using forged documents.

“This is why Uhuru should state his irreducible minimums as well. Raila thinks he is the only one who has that irreducible minimum,” charges the analyst.

He goes on to state Uhuru’s irreducible minimums should have three points.

“One, if Raila wants IEBC reforms, the Supreme Court should also be reformed as well and this should be Uhuru’s irreducible minimum if documents were forged at the Supreme Court, they will be forged again in the October election.”

“Two, if Raila wants the IEBC servers open Uhuru must demand that the servers at the court registry that’s the Supreme Court be opened as well. The public would want to know how bad the Supreme Court forgery was.

“Three, Supreme Court offenders should be charged with high treason. Overthrowing a government using forged documents is a crime that can only be dealt with by the military and that is why the offender of this particular situation must go to court martial in my view,” he concludes.
