7-member team unveiled to map out NASA’s People’s Assembly

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has launched a seven-member team tasked with organizing the People’s assembly.

The team is expected to create a roadmap of the Assembly and give in detail its objective to NASA agenda.

On Friday, former Kakamega Senator Dr Bonny Khalwale said the team will finally give Kenya legitimate leadership.

“They will deliberate on and produce the roadmap towards the achievement of objectives through the assembly which will lead us to a free and fair election or the path of self-determination,” said Khalwale as told by the Star.

The seven are: David Ndii, Judy Sijeny, Hamida Kibwana, Mutakha Kangu, Oduor Ong’wen, Koitamet Olekina and Peter Mathuki.

People’s Assembly is NASA’s channel in rebelling against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee regime.

Raila Odinga, NASA chief on Tuesday said he will be “sworn-in” as the President through the Assembly.

The Assembly will be used by the opposition to push for fresh polls in February next year.

Khalwale added the new team will “guide, facilitate and coordinate the programme of the various assemblies across the country.”

“It will further set up and oversight a national secretariat that will be the centre for the activities of these assemblies among other duties.”

NASA move to launch the organizing team comes amid a court directive barring any implementation of the People’s Assembly until the case is heard and determined in January next year.
