Monicah Mugo, the wife of Jack Anyango, one of the Kitengela Four is receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital after a miscarriage.

Sources at the same time, Anyango’s mother Olga Ochieng was also admitted to a Homa Bay hospital and diagnosed with stress-related complications.

Anyango was one of the Kitengela quartet whose body is yet to be found. Still, that of Brian Oduor has not been found yet.

The bodies of Elijah Obuong and Benjamin Imbai were found two weeks ago in separate mortuaries in Murang’a and Thika respectively.

They have since been buried as their kin come to terms with the sad incident.

Cliff Ochieng, Anyango’s elder brother told Nation that the disappearance of their kin has depressed their other. He was the last born.

“Our mother has been depressed ever since the disappearance of her last born son,” Ochieng stated.

Anyango’s wife says since the disappearance of her husband, she has not had peace and even moved from Jacaranda Estate due to the negative publicity the issue has received.

“Life has been tough for me and our two-year-old son. I was six months pregnant. I have not been able to live in our rental house out of fear. I have been putting up with my sister,” she disclosed.

She said that her husband was not a criminal. They said he loved beer and had many friends with who he took beer but was never involved in any criminal activity.

The family also says that he was not well-off like the other three friends he was hanging out with.

“My brother was a hustler. He took alcohol and had many friends. He was not a man of means like his peers. He had no criminal record. We raised money for him last year to offset his rent arrears for a two-bedroom house in Donholm Estate before he moved to a one-bedroom apartment in Jacaranda,” Ochieng said.
