The Supreme Court of Kenya on Monday ruled to uphold the election of president Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a ruling delivered by Chief Justice David Maraga, the six justices unanimously ruled against all petitions filed by former assistant minister Harun Mwau and another by Njonjo Mue and Khelef Khalifa.

In the much-awaited verdict, Chief Justice David Maraga said all petitions were not merited. He said that a detailed judgment will be issued within 21 days.
