I’m no NASA sympathizer, I support UhuRuto, Kabogo tells voters in Uhuru’s presence

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo finally sought the perfect chance to make his political stand known.

On Friday when President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto and a host of other Jubilee MPs pitched camp at Kirigiti stadium in Kiambu for a Jubilee rally, Kabogo dismissed rumours he is a NASA sympathizer.

He faced the President as well as voters from Kiambu and boldly stated he supports Uhuru’s re-election together with Ruto

“I am with Uhuruto and people should not listen to the propaganda and rumors being spread that I am a NASA sympathizer,” he stated in a bold move.

Since he lost Jubilee primaries in April, his rivals have touted him to be working with the opposition.

In particular, the Kiambu County boss has been at loggerheads with the DP. He accused him of engineering his rigging out during party primaries.

But he said that though lost in what he terms as “shambolic party primaries”, he cannot support NASA because he has faith in UhuRuto.

He urged his supporters to vote him back on Tuesday.

“I seek your votes to so that I can continue to work for you.”

President Kenyatta steered clear of Waititu-Kabogo Kiambu politics and drummed support for his party.

He urged the electorate to turn out en masse and defeat NASA’s Raila Odinga with a margin of 3 million votes.

“I am urging you not to let me down. Turn out in large numbers so that we take this guy [Raila] home,” said Uhuru.
