The rallying of Jubilee MPs behind Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka’s son Kennedy Musyoka for appointment to EALA shows the party is ready to work for Kenyans political affiliations notwithstanding.

Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka said politicking is over and Jubilee is ready to work for the citizenry.

Lusaka expressed optimistic in Kennedy’s capability to deliver during his tenure to EALA.

“We are very sure he will deliver. Jubilee leaders supported him 100 per cent, showing that we are one thing and politics is over,” Lusaka told the Star.

Among the nine appointees to EALA, Kennedy got the highest number of votes on Thursday. He polled 309.

He was followed by Raila Odinga’s brother Dr Oburu Oginga who polled Oburu Oginga 243 while Abdikadir Aden got 234 votes and Fatuma Ibrahim got 143.

Others who were appointed include Jubilee’s Simon Mbugua (286 ), Florence Jematia (252), Mpuru Aburi (208), Wanjiku Muhia (180), and Adan Noor (192).

They will be sworn in on Monday.

Their appointment brings to a close a protracted political battle that hurdled the appointment of the nine representatives in the last Parliament.
