Senate Majority Leader says opposition leader Raila Odinga is broke and has resorted to extorting companies to stay afloat.

His statement comes after NASA on Friday called on Kenyans to boycott Safaricom, Brookside Dairy and Bidco products.

NASA said the three companies are among several others soon to be named that were used as conduits of electoral injustice by Jubilee regime.

Deputy President William Ruto first started the debate saying NASA was an extortion racket aiming at getting a cut from companies so as not to be listed as pro-Jubilee.

In a series of tweets, the DP said “That companies have to ‘donate’ to supremo to avoid listing in the brazen and bizarre extortion racket-styled ‘economic boycott’? Criminal!”

Murkomen in seconding the statement tweeted that NASA is broke and has devised a new way to raise money.

“NASA leaders led by Tinga (Raila Odinga) are soliciting bribes from companies to avoid naming them in the boycott list. It’s not a boycott…they are just broke,” read the tweet.

However, it seems it did not sit very well with a majority of Kenyans on Twitter who roasted him for the statement.

With some hitting out at him based on his physique, others politically told him off.

“Colgate is not in the list, [I]am sure that’s your biggest worry, meno tisaini na nane,” tweeted Ruben Mbuve Reginah.

“If you are rich, why not fix the ‘big Nigerian gates” between your teeth,” said Eunyta Eunyque.

“I bet you use your teeth to reason,” Tasha Alain said.

Jimmy Wanjigi told Murkomen: “It’s good you’ve admitted that if Raila names a company in his boycott list..then automatically it will fall.”

Suzztommy: “Hehehe buy some popcons and watch Safaricom going down.”

JungleBook: “So you know Tinga can finish a company..Do not under estimate power of the people…Hata meno yako itakosa calcium ibaki ikingorera fwaa.”

Stephen Opondo: Only those who have looted this country talk like you. Everybody else is broke. Habari ndiyo hiyo.”
