Mutahi Ngunyi’s controversial video alleging Nkaissery was assassinated

Even as the family, friends, and Kenyans gave their final respect to deceased former Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery yesterday, a controversial video has emerged alleging he was assassinated.

The video posted on Youtube showing scholars from Fort Hall School of Government and political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has created a stir online.

Ngunyi in the clip alleges that Nkaissery was assassinated.

“We must ask a few hard questions. Did Nkaissery really die or did they force him to die?” he posed.

“In my view, Nkaissery was assassinated. Some say he was sick. But then the easiest target for assassination is a sick man since you can blame his illness” he adds.

He went on to state that with no record of sickness for Nkaissery, it is highly possible he was assassinated.

“Nkaissery was not sick, and if he was sick, the timing of his death is suspicious. He could have pushed himself until the election more so because he is general, and the energy we saw him with during the Friday meeting could have sustained him until after the election.”

“This is why I reject the argument that the man was sick. This man was assassinated in my view and the question we must ask is this; who benefits from his assassination?”

ICT Cabinet Secretary Joes Mucheru wrote to Google asking them to pull down the video.

A team of pathologists who conducted a post mortem on the body of the late CS said he died of a rare kind of Cardiac arrest.

They said there were no signs of “foul play”.
