Makueni Senator Mutua Kilonzo Jnr has maintained the death of his late father Mutula Kilonzo was not ordinary; it was executed by unknown forces.

In his testimony before a Machakos Court on Tuesday, the Senator said his father’s death was not ordinary but a result of a well-engineered “elimination”.

“The death of my father was not ordinary. It was a well-organized elimination probably in collaboration with workers followed by a massive cover-up,” Kilonzo Jnr told Senior Magistrate Kipkurui Kibellion in Machakos Court according to Daily Nation.

He said interference with samples collected from his father for toxicological tests which took nine days before they were transported to the UK which points to foul play.

The late Senator died at his Kwa Kyelu home in April 2013.

An autopsy report presented before the court by a Nakuru based doctor Dr S W Mwangi indicated that the deceased died as a result of excessive bleeding caused by high blood pressure.

Kilonzo Jnr poked holes into the samples transported to the UK for toxicological test.

He said: “In November 2013 I received a very disturbing email from Dr [Ian] Kaller. He explained that he had gone out of his way to examine unsealed samples because of the gravity of the matter. Dr Koller said he would not sign the toxicological report until he received sealed samples.”

He added that he is not sure that even with the inquest, his father’s killer will be bright to book.

“I am greatly pained standing here doing an inquiry which may not bear results.”

The Senator noted one of the pathologists, Dr Rugen had taken a picture of his deceased’s father’s brain and it was red, something he had never seen.

“It was unusual, the presence of blood in the brain. The preliminary report said my father died of a substance that caused so much bleeding. He was bleeding from every organ including the muscles,” he told the court.

Dr Mwangi indicated the deceased took a soda together with some other pills which could have led to his death.

But the Senator noted his father never took sodas.

Hearing of the inquest resumes on October 10.
